Emily Murgatroyd has 12 years of experience in sales and marketing with a focus on event planning, experiential marketing and promotions. Her career has placed her with several well known media organizations including CHUM Television & Much Music, Blast Radius and Newad Media, creating experiential programs for brands including Bell Canada, CBC, Clover Leaf, Kellogg's, FIDO, Government of Alberta, Emer'gen-C and LUSH.
Emily serves as vice president of operations for Hoggan & Associates’ new media group, EnergyBoom Media Inc. with a focus on communicating the global renewable energy sector through online media and events. She is also a regular contributor to DeSmogBlog, an organization committed to clearing the "PR pollution that is clouding the Science on Climate Change" and sits on the Vancouver Peak Oil Executive . In April 2008, she was one of 250 Canadians personally trained by Al Gore to give climate change presentations.
Emily also owns and operates Greenprint Events, a sustainable event planning company, and she has published several articles on green living and lifestyle. Emily holds a BA in Sociology from Queen's University.
