IMAGINE: A foresight platform of collaboration and exchange leading to action

According to the IPCC, European territories must decrease their greenhouse gas emissions by a factor of 4 by 2050 by reducing usage by one third and shifting to renewable resources for the remaining energy needs. IMAGINE asks participants to look one generation into the future and co-create a desirable future. Participants then look backwards to the starting point, today, to identify an appropriate path forward. The main goal is to build a large IMAGINE partnership of engaged local authorities and stakeholders across Europe for strategic, popularizing, intellectual, practical, and financial support as Europe transitions to sustainable energy systems that support sustainable, desirable communities.
